I also experience this glitch. After mouse-over the graphic looks normal again.
When I switch back to the processes tab, close system-monitor, open it again,
and switch back to the resources tab the anomaly is visible again.

This is on Hardy(AMD64) with all current updates.

I commented on the Gnome bug as well, but I thought maybe I should have done it here, since I am using Ubuntu.

This issue looks like a rendering issue coming from either the graphics driver or Xorg or gtk+.

I currently experience similar issues with an Intel 945 mobile graphics adapter with various applications (or full display) on various distributions and never on systems with graphics adapters from other manufacturers. Please check whether you've got an Intel graphics adapter.

I've always had nVidia graphics (GeForce2 Go in my laptop, 7100GS in my desktop; the integrated graphics are nv, too), so at least it was present on some nVidia hardware.

I can't reproduce it now, though. I'm currently running Fedora 15 with gnome-system-monitor version 3.0.0, kernel 2.6.40.4 and the nouveau driver.

Upstream has closed the bug as expired, and based on comment 9, this is not reproducible on Ubuntu anymore, so I am marking the Ubuntu bug task as Invalid.
