vmware-server post-install script fails trying to configure networking

See attached for output of `sudo dpkg --configure vmware-server`. It also tries to configure vmware-server with every apt-get install done, and fails then with the same behaviour.

I have two networking interfaces, eth0 (disconnected) and ath0 (connected). The network settings are not strange: I connect to a WEP network with ath0 through NetworkManager.
I also had this problem on Feisty before upgrading.
