Bug Description

Binary package hint: emerald

All other windows are fine, but OpenOffice.org has issues with its title bar. The buttons end up messed up sometimes when the cursor is placed on them. This is fixed by (sometimes) moving the cursor back over them or when the bar is redrawn (change from active to inactive, fullscreen and back, etc.).

I can confirm this using kubuntu 8.04 however, it only happens with OpenOffice Writer. Spreadsheet, presentation, draw, and database do not produce this bug. Is this the same for everyone else?

Possible workaround:

I read this http://ubuntu-virginia.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=875741 and unchecked "use button fade press" and OpenOffice Writer behaves properly now.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. OpenOffice improved, but it is definitely not fixed.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?

Is anybody else getting this still? I may be speaking too soon, but it hasn't happened to me in 8.10.
