Failed to initialize hal

Hi,
I burned the releasecandidate CD and tried to boot with it. I get a "Failed to initialize hal" message and therefore no internet, sound etc.
I have no possibility to follow the instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingHal since I can not save text files on a livecdsession without HAL starting.

I installed anyway and then I blacklisted saa7134_alsa and the message was gone.
Perhaps it should be blacklisted as default?
