Network icon is huge in Menu Editor. Please see screenshots.

This huge icon is not showing up in >Sytem >Preferences > Main Menu. This error is from the Menu Editor which is located in >Applications >Other > Menu Editor. Thanks.

I marked this as invalid for ubuntu-artwork as it is not a problem of the icon missing as it appears in other places

@Kenneth. Sorry but I dont understand your reply.

I am not reporting a missing icon. I am reporting that the network tools icon in >Applications > Other > Menu Editor > Administration > Network Tools is huge as the screenshot attached shows. Attached here is my menu where the network tools shows up as HUGE.

Sorry, let me explain better: the problem is not with the artwork files but rather something technical, probably in the app or .desktop files

/usr/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/apps/gnome-nettool.png in gnome-nettool package has a wrong icon size.

The image shipped is too big. Here is the same image scaled to suit the others. Can somebody tell me how to get permission to replace the large one with this one on my system please?

put it in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/apps/gnome-nettool.png at the right size. I will try to get this fixed (it is a bug in the gnome-nettool package really)

Thanks Kenneth. I have tried to replace it as suggested but I am not allowed to, permission denied. I tried to start up Gimp with gksudo gimp and save it but the save failed again, this time curiously without an error pop up. The network tools icon artwork is nice but doesn't scale well. It needs to be less detailed to look good at 24x24 pixel size. If you can get a simpler right sized icon in substitution that would be great.

I tried to reproduce this issue under Ubuntu Lucid but this image is displayed fine for me, please could you check if this issue is still affecting you under Lucid? Thanks.

I can confirm that a properly sized icon is now correctly installed by gnome-nettool. Marking fix released.
