Bug Description

Binary package hint: xulrunner-1.9

I'm using Hardy with the latest updates from Thu 17.04.08

When trying to open a SSL-encrypted https-website I get the following error-message:

XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: Fehler beim Verarbeiten einer Referenz auf eine externe Entität
Adresse: jar:file:///usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9b5/chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/netError.xhtml
Zeile Nr. 10, Spalte 3: %netErrorDTD;
                                  --^

If you want to reconstruct this bug try https://mail.uni-leipzig.de/ in firefox 3 Beta 5.

I'm using xulrunner 1.9~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 and firefox 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu2

Might have been to do with latest java update?

I have a workaround:

Example:

croessner@desktop ~/.mozilla/firefox/pbcd1fv8.default $ rm extensions.*

You can leave the extensions folder installed. Only removing the files as described above fixed my problem.

Please forget my workaround. After surfing a while, I chose www.heise.de and now, everything is bad again. Don't know why

Workaround:

Deactivate Add-Ons - Sprachen (languages)

*Firefox (de) 3.0b5
*Xulrunner (de) 1.9b5

This is a problem in the german localisation!

The problem seems to be located in netError.dtd in /<email address hidden>/firefox-3.0-de.jar which is part of the language-pack-gnome-de-base

Maybe there is missing

<!-- Include app-specific error messages - do not change this in localization!
      Some applications might override netErrorApp.dtd with their specific version,
      this inclusion needs to be intact for that approach to work correctly. -->
<!ENTITY % netErrorAppDTD SYSTEM "chrome://global/locale/netErrorApp.dtd">
%netErrorAppDTD;

at the end of the file - see http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/dom/locales/en-US/chrome/netError.dtd
