Bug Description

In previous versions of Gnome, if I had a minimized application and I clicked on it in the Window List, it would restore the window and switch to the appropriate desktop. In the current version, it DOES restore the window but does not go to the appropriate desktop making me search all my desktops for the app.

Sorry, accidentally reported this as a firefox bug. Not correct.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

However this is not really a bug. To get the behavior you're expecting, in the "window list preferences" dialog (right click on window list applet in the panel), under section "Restoring minimized windows" select "Restore to native workspace"

Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.

I already have "Restore to native workspace" selected and it does infact restore to native workspace, however, it doesn't change to that workspace if I am on another one. This is not a "feature" this IS a bug because it worked fine before Hardy.

We just have to find a way to make everyone happy. I have heard that kwin treats Firefox specially, but I don't know how true that is.

Maybe I am not explaining the problem well because I doubt this behavior is intended. When I open a window on desktop "A" and go to desktop "B" then on desktop "B" I click on the first window I opened, it doesn't go back to desktop "A" and I cannot find the window. It doesn't even show a representation of the window in the pager. I have to go to every desktop to look for where it is and sometimes I can't even find it and have to close the window and reopen it because it just gets "Lost"
