Ugly Font by Default [regression]

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Default font is ugly in Hardy Beta's gnome-terminal.

Looks like a font smoothing problem. It of course used to work in Dapper and Gutsy. I could not image using terminal for any longer period with this font problem.

I'm having the same problem with Hardy Release updated to April 29th. I attach some screenshots comparing gedit rendering and gnome-terminal rendering.

This seems to be a duplicate of bug 190848 and I am marking it as such. Please look at the other bug report which contains various workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report.
