Bug Description
Hello.
I am using a LG P1 Notebook.
Gutsy runs perfectly stable, but when I am using Hardy Beta including all updates, after a short or sometimes immediate time of use it completely locks up without a warning. The mouse stops moving, if a sound was played it plays in short loops und no reactions whatsoever, I can't even switch to a terminal or type something in. I waited up to 4 hours, it won't recover.
My hardware is completely OK. I tested Windows XP and then gutsy again, no problems whatsoever. Then I reinstalled hardy - lockups again.
I can't reproduce this issue because it happens in completely different situations. The only think I know is that firefox beta 4 and now 5 were open all the time.
This is a major issure that prevents hardy from being usable as a productive system :(
My LG P1 is a Laptop with common hardware. I am adding a few specs, as they might help:
- Intel Centrino Duo with Core Duo CPU
- Intel ABG 3945 Wireless
- ATI X1400 Mobility
- 2GB DDR2 667 RAM
- SATA Harddisk, 250GB
- Using a Bluetooth mouse by Logitech
Compiz is NOT enabled.
