Thanks for your bug report. Could you please run f-spot as: f-spot --debug &> fspot-log.txt and attach that file to the report? Thanks in advance.

I'm adding this, as it seems simliar.

More important in my case, the X server basically freezes, the hdd starts to work (but not nonstop), till f-spot dies.

Btw, I cannot use f-spot currently at all. I might try to isolate the jpg that causes this.

Ok, running strace and removing the last jpeg opened from the collection
does not help.

Furthermore I'm getting:

value = f-spot version 0.4.2 len = 20
value = 2008:04:25 20:41:44 len = 19

(f-spot:6342): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. You must explicitly end the data stream to the loader before dropping the last reference.

Now this would explain why today my system survives (I've reduced the
6GB swap partition to 1GB today, and I'm having 2GB RAM. Guess with 6GB
to trash, it took the system way to long before f-spot got killed, which
made me again reboot it cold.)

I got no clue if this bug still happens, i de-installed fspot and changed my imageviewer to an other gnome-pictureviewer wich u can actually navigate with the arrows :)

If im the only one reporting this bug, please remove it from the issues-queue then, no problems here.
