I'm running this on an Intel 3.0ghz processor with 2Gs of ram. It's on the flip side of an XP pro install and the sound works when XP is booted. Therefore, I'm either not configured properly with Ubuntu configuration for sound or the latest update for 7.10 has deleted the setting for the sound. I will explore further and try to come to a more conclusive results and let you know in the bug report.

Thanks
