Bug Description

Hardy up-to-date as of 15 April 09:00 GMT+2.

I ran epiphany-browser under Valgrind.

After startup (blank page) I went to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bugs?field.searchtext=&orderby=-date_last_updated&search=Search&field.status%3Alist=New&field.status%3Alist=Incomplete&field.status%3Alist=Confirmed&field.status%3Alist=Triaged&field.status%3Alist=In+Progress&field.status%3Alist=Fix+Committed&field.assignee=&field.bug_reporter=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.has_patch=&field.has_no_package=

Waited for load to finish, and refreshed twice the page (each time waiting for the refresh to finish), then I ended the run.

Valgrind shows a nice amount of lost memory.

Just a comment -- this matches my experience (epiphany-browser resident memory grows with time).

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?

This time I just opened Epiphany, waited for the load to complete, and went on to File/Quit. No other actions performed on Epiphany. Valgrind still shows a nice amount of lost memory.

Hum. Upstream states "the gecko backend is not actively maintained anymore and thus won't see any leak fixes".
