Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Open Office reports itself as different versions depending on where you look: For example, upon opening Open Office Writer and looking at "About" under "Help," the splash screen says I'm running Open Office version 2.3, but the fine print on the screen says I'm running Open Office version 2.4. The identical problem occurs in Open Office Calc and Open Office Impress.
I'm using the distribution of Open Office that was installed with the latest (14 April 2008) distribution of the Ubuntu 8.04 beta installation.

Upgrade to current Hardy the beta is quite old at this point.
