Bug Description

I dont know about this one for sure. But it caused 2 crashes. The first crash was X-rebootable using Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. The second crash totally hung the system. It happened both times when refocusing Pidgin by clicking on the File Transfer window, from having focus on another app (Firefox and Rythmbox in these cases). Kinda scared to use Pidgin again!

Same problem here, X hung while I was draging a file from nautilus into the message window in order to send it to a buddy. Music kept playing in Amarok and system was still accessible via SSH but X hung, also switching to terminal via ctrl + alt + f1 wasn't possible.

Add: I'm also using the new hardy with the latest patches, I have a nvidia graphics card using restricted drivers. (Maybe this is the root of the issue...)

Since it's been a very long time since any additional info was added to this bug, I'm just checking to see if this is still an issue, and find out what additional work should be done on this bug.
