Hard lockup in X about once a week

Bug Description

I've been experiencing X lockups, about once a week. They tend to occur as I'm moving my mouse between windows and everything just stops.

Caps/Num lock do not respond. I cannot ctrl-alt-fn to another virtual console.

The system has been accessible from remote machines during this time, but often I can't borrow a console, so I just have to reboot.

The hangs tend to occur on monday mornings, after the system has been suspended for a number of days, about 30-45minutes after the machine resumes.

The only interesting bit of info from the logs that correllate to the time of the hang was in syslog:
Apr 14 11:39:59 localhost kernel: [65799.212000] [drm:drm_lock_take] *ERROR* 1 holds heavyweight lock
Apr 14 11:39:59 localhost kernel: [65799.228000] [drm:drm_lock_take] *ERROR* 1 holds heavyweight lock

Ubuntu: 7.10
Kernel: 2.6.22-14-generic (i686)
X driver: Radeon
Video Card: Radeon 9200
Desktop Environment: Gnome w/ metacity
