Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

To reproduce this bug on hardy.
My keyboard is USB attached Microsoft Comfort Curved 1000 USB ID 045e:00dd

First be sure that numpad and numlock key are synchronised (see bug #197771).

log into kde
system settings -> keyboard -> set numlock to always on at kde start
(.kde/config/kcminputrc has NumLock=0 )
log off kde
switch off numlock and check numpad is not numeric any more
log into kde

in a konsole you can check that numpad is in numeric mode (OK)
BUT the numlock light is still OFF (BUG)
From now numlock light and numpad status will be reversed from each other in KDE.

If you now log off kde, the numpad/numlock light are synchronised again.
