Adding new Icons, not showing well in hardy

When i install a new icon theme in Hardy, it just get all icons with strange appearence.
like ubuntu glass icons, i install it and then the folder are always gray and not glas. If
i use the aero icons, its the same, the folders are alwyas in gray color.

A link or upload of the themes involved and a screenshot would be good.

I experience this with glass-icons as well, but the fault is not with Ubuntu, it's with glass-icons, and the other theme, Aero. Please notify the authors of the themes you have used. They should update their themes accordingly. Feel free to reopen this bug report is any of Ubuntu's themes (and those included in the Universe repo) have issues.
