Bug Description
Binary package hint: xfce4-mixer
In Xubunu 7.10 when mixer settings is selected from the Menu: Applications | Settings | Mixer Settings the xfce4-mixer starts up with the mixer options dialog. There is no way to reach the volume controls from there.
Only after starting the xfce4-mixer with Alt-F2 Run Program. Xfce4-mixer starts with the volume controls panel.
I had expected to see, Xfce4-mixer start with the volume contols panel from the Menu: Applications | Settings | Mixer Settings.
What happend instead:
From the Menu: Applications | Settings | Mixer Settings, I got the xfce4-mixer options dialog and no way to reach the volume contols.
Hopfully this can be fixed, for a better Xfce GUI on Ubuntu.
Best regards, Lucas Weel.
It seems to be that the "Mixer settings" in the menu is an entirely different application than xfce4-mixer. The problem might just be that xfce4-mixer can not be reached from the menu (though I believe it can be opened using the Mixer panel plugin).
