Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-xgl
Having upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy, on a Thinkpad T60, which was previous running compiz just fine...
XGL fails to load, showing the attached .xsession-errors content. Note, it seems to be searching for nvidea, but I am running ATI (Thinkpad T60).
Attempting to log back in gets me into X, but without XGL or compiz - metacity takes over.
I have seen that glxinfo is segfaulting (as does fglrxinfo):
$ export LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose
$ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
libGL: XF86DRIGetClien
libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/lib/
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I will certainly provide more information if that will help.

I tried purging the xorg-server-fglrx package, but it couldn't remove /etc/ati.
First, I removed the contents of /etc/ati, then I removed the following from the end of /etc/profile:
/etc/ati/ ati-fglrx. sh # Do not modify - set by ATI FGLRX
And, with that, I have XGL back, and I am happy :-)
Assuming I can't work out how to, you can close this bug.
