Bug Description

I like some objects to be semi-transparent like gnome panel, I usually make it semi transparent holding alt then moving mouse wheel, the problem that those objects lost its transparent level as soon as I log out, this shouldn't happen!

I am changing this to Compiz because that's what handling the transparency. I do not know which plugin enables the Alt+mouse shortcut, though.

Of course, the instant I hit submit I found what I was looking for.

Adel, as a workaround please try installing compizconfig-settings-manager. Under general options, click the Opacity Settings tab (it's off to the right.) In the section labelled Window Opacities, add a new rule using New. Then you can set which applications (such as gnome-panel) that you want transparent, and how much. I think this will save across sessions, although if you change the transparency later with the mouse wheel it will not.
