Ram drive can't be mounted

Bug Description

When I hotplug my RAM stick, I receive the message that only
root can mount /dev/sda1 on /media/sda1.

I am logged in as a normal user.

Works fine with Ubuntu (Gnome). I see you filed against kdebase, issit becouse
you are using kubuntu?

I am logged into the user account that was created during install of Kubuntu 5.10.
