Bug Description

I have a 500gb external hard drive that i have attached to my computer. It is a ext3 volume, and ive used some program that i forget the name of at the moment to label the drive as LinuxBackup

So, it seems that when i shut down my computer, Ubuntu is not deleting the folder in /media that it created to mount my external hard drive

The result is that i have the following folders in /media:

LinuxBackup
LinuxBackup_
LinkBackup__
LinuixBackup___
LinuxBackup____

Etc....it just keeps adding underscores to the name. And i have to manually delte the folders and remount my drive because i use programs that are dependent on finding files that are located in /media/Linuxbackup....and since its mounting to LinuxBackup with a number of underscores at the end....it causes a huge hassle for me.

I just made a typo, all the folder names should be LinuxBackup...not link =P

I have confirmed that its ubuntu not deleting the directory after the media is unmounted or when it shuts off...because i put a DVD in, 'across the universe', and even though i took the dvd out a day ago, i still see the folder /media/Across The Universe

is this bug too

Very annoying, because I have music on my disk 2, and rhythmbox never find it, cuz path always change, because it append underscore all the time like /media/Music_/ then /media/Music__/ etc...
