Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Hi
I have installed Ubuntu 8.04 Beta on my laptop when Firefox 3 beta 4 still was in the repos.
I have installed flashplugin-nonfree and nspluginwrapper and It works fine in Firefox 3 beta 4, but when I updated to Firefox beta 5 through Software Updater and now Flash doesn't work with Firefox 3.
Flash Player still works with firefox-2 and epiphany.

I experienced the same error. Video has returned running:
    > nspluginwrapper -i /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so

However, I have no sound. Will continue to investigate.

Also, problem is now mentioned in the Hardy Development and x86 64 bit users forums, so please consider a high priority: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=750770, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4687262#post4687262

Download done.

The Flash plugin is NOT installed.

But if I run this in a terminal (written by myself) it works:

wget http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
tar zxfv install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
cp install_flash_player_9_linux/libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla
nspluginwrapper -i ~/.mozilla/libflashplayer.so
rm -rf install_flash_player_9_linux/ install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz

Then (re)start Firefox and now Flash works (for me)
I have no problems with sound when Flash is installed.

Please run the newest version of flash and you should no longer need libflashsupport for sound with pulseaudio, Please confirm the newest Ubuntu flash works as expected.
As for the firefox not using it this will be fixed before release its a known issue, its installing into the firefox-2 profile instead of firefox-3.0 or even would be nice for it to be put in both.
