Was this a random crash? Or is there some way to trigger the crash?

Yes, I guess this is random. I don't remember doing anything special before the crashes. I launch aMule, and start doing some other things, but 3 or 5 minutes later, it goes down.

This is very weird. Today, after 5 crashes (approximately) it's going fine...

By the way, my version is 2.2.0~svn20080218-0ubuntu4 (from Ubuntu Hardy Heron x86_64, like the OP).

i have the same issue.. i did install from source a bit back, someone gave me a link to somewhere on these forums where a fixed version has been created. however i can't find it now..

my problem is that amule just refuses to launch.. i click the emule icon, and it just exists straight away..

now from installing with source, it's fine.. but as soon as synaptic update manager launches and picks up amule as being installed, it then proceeds to update amule. after the update, we're back to square 1 with it refusing to launch again.

using hardy x86_64.

I am having similar issues.

Hardy x86_64
amule: 2.2.0-svn20080218-0ubuntu4

amule will crash randomly even if I am not using the system.

sometimes after performing a search it will crash when I close the search results tab.

running the command line version of amule does not result in a crash, my work around is to use the command line version with the web interface.

This should be fixed in amule 2.2.2-1ubuntu1 (Ubuntu 8.10). For Ubuntu 8.04 see bug #244670.
