A pre-release of the upcoming Inkscape 0.47 is now available in Ubuntu
Karmic for testing. Because *so* much stuff has changed compared with
the version you reported your bug against, would you mind re-testing
this new version and see if this bug is now resolved?

I tested the new version under Jaunty 64bit, it gives me this error when I try to apply "Extensions"->"Modify Path"->"Perspective":

/usr/share/inkscape/extensions/perspective.py:80: DeprecationWarning: os.popen3 is deprecated. Use the subprocess module.

I'll attach a screencast in which I tried to follow the instructions in the video as closely as possible.

I cannot reproduce this bug, using karmic alpha 4. I followed the steps in the video in the previous post and the perspective tool appears to be working properly. Hopefully, this has now been fixed. Please let me know if different steps are required to reproduce the bug.

Looks like this has been fixed upstream in bug #186582, so I'll mark it as a duplicate. Feel free to reopen this bug if you are still experiencing problems in the latest development version of Inkscape.
