Amarok album art not fetched from amazon

Several albums in my collection do not have album art. When I right-click on the empty album icon, I see an option to 'Fetch cover from amazon.com'. In earlier versions, that option used to search in amazon.com and display the album art in a new window. This seems to be broken now. Now, when I click on 'Fetch cover...', it does not display any window with the album art. This happens with any album I try. I think it is able to search amazon.com though because I see a progress bar in the bottom of Amarok main window.

I can confirm this problem on latest hardy.

This happens because Amazon changed something in their protocol.
We (upstream) will be releasing a fixed version soon.

I have this same problem on Feisty 7.10 with the KDE4 libraries from the PPA repository on launchpad.
Many other features are also broken, like opening of last.fm streams.
