Bug Description

Binary package hint: alltray

Hardy 8.04 beta

Start gnome-terminal via alltray (alltray gnome-terminal) Closing gnome-terminal doesn't dock to the tray but kills it, also doesn't work when right-clicking on the tray icon and selecting 'hide'. Doesn't seem to gain focus either. Xterm works as expected when started via alltray.

If I minimize and restore the alltray window with gnome-terminal it starts working as it should except for staying in the dock when I press x.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve Ubuntu. Does this issue still occur when you install the testing package from https://edge.launchpad.net/~mtrausch/+archive (for the Hardy distribution), which is a proposed fix for bug 106583? Also, is this with or without Compiz running (e.g., Visual Effects)?
