Bug Description

python-mechanize doesnt seem to work well on ubuntu

I am the developer of PySMSsend (http://pysmssend.sourceforge.net) program

This program uses python-mechanize

On Gentoo/Arch/Debian works fine but on Ubuntu (even on 8.04) the sumbission function on Browser Class doesnt work as it should. Ive tried both 0.1.6 and 0.1.7 version on Ubuntu but I had the same issues.

It should not be an general problem on python-mechanize but Ubuntu specific

If you could provide a simplified test case I could look into it.

Ok, I wrote a script on python

I guess there is no need to have an account on voipbuster to test it

It runs fine on Gentoo but not on ubuntu

The url that returns in the end is different in ubuntu than other distros

This means that Submit function doesnt work as it should :)

Your Ubuntu version is now EOL on the Desktop. Can you reproduce this bug with a supported Ubuntu version?
