Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Aaaargh! We don't have an AltGr, so there's no way to select # with the AltGr+3.
Basically, we need a second-level chooser somehow. Can't use ctrl, as that's already involved in too many keymappings. Same for alt. I'm reluctant to give up keypad-enter, as you can't use the regular enter key when num-lock is on.
So that leaves Apple/Command. This key is mapped to Super right now, and is traditionally unused, but has recently become a Compiz key for some reason. I'm thinking maybe we should change the definition of the right Apple/Command key so that it functions as AltGr. We really don't need 2 super keys.

Hi alex-weej,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com)
If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/ Xorg.0. log?
Thanks in advance.
The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having.
