Bug Description

Binary package hint: gvfs

I found that gvfs can't list hidden files through ftp. I have a ftp server which I'm accessing through nautilus (gvfs). The problem is that when I list files, there is no hidden file (beginning with .) although these are physically on the server.
When I tried list them from the console using "gvfs-ls -h ftp://*@*/", it lists all files except hidden ones.

output of 'gvfs-info ftp://*@*/.hidden':
Error getting info: File doesn't exist

But when I try to open that file in gedit using 'gedit ftp://*@*/.hidden', it is opened without any problems.

It behaves differently against sftp protocol, where hidden files are listed (when Show Hidden files is checked).

Thank you for your bug report. Did you try to use the nautilus menu item to show hidden files? That works correctly on my hardy installation. What ftp server do you use?

Oh, I'm really sorry... It's a bug on webhosters ftp server.
I tried another webhoster's ftp and it works as expected.
