Bug Description
Without md5 wubi is not capable of telling the two ISOs apart, it will happily work off an alternate ISO and it will fail silently to extract the kernel.

To be more precise:
Wubi 7.04 requires alternate ISO. While Wubi 7.10/8.04 requires the DESKTOP ISO.
At the moment if an alternate ISO of the appropriate distro/version is on the search path, it is not distinguished from a desktop ISO, and it will be used. MD5 checks will eliminate the problem.
If an alternate ISO is used in 8.04 at the moment, the installer will go through, but there will be no vmlinuz/initrd in C:\ubuntu\ install\ boot. So at reboot the user will face Grub Error 15: File not found.
