Bug Description

The problem:
Sounds works OK, but after suspend/hibernate sound doesn't work any more.

I didn't use suspend/hibernate options under Gutsy, so I can't tell you if it's a regression. Pulseaudio is activated. I verified nothing is muted. I don't get any error message like 'ressource unavailable'. I just have no sound, whatever the application I use. I'm under GNOME.
Would it be interrestong to test this with KDE? what version then? 3.5 or 4 ?

updated:

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

Can you update to the latest hardy kernel ? Can you also provide the elements precised here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting?action=show&redirect=DebuggingSoundProblems ? Before you give that elements I set the bug as incomplete.

And I don't think that running kde will help, since it is not likely related to the desktop you are running.

Thanks in advance

Confirmed here on the same hardware. Removing and reloading the snd-hda-intel module after resuming from hibernate fixes the issue.

This problem is not present when using gutsy kernel, it is a regression since 2.6.22.
