Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
During todays automatic update, I encountered a problem.
When updating "bash-completion" the user/I gets prompted by a dialog-window
in order to choose which configuration file should be selected, because of local changes (?)
A combo-box allows me to make a side-by-side diff (which I chose) - then I got an output
window with a not-so-readable output.
After reading the text I closed the window and chose another option (forgot which) and
pressed "forward" -
the dialog-window now seemed to be frozen (not responding) - therefore I (forced) closed the window
I was now left in the black terminal window in update-manager
I entered "exit" and then the update process continued.
When the remaining packages was updated, the update-manager retried to install
bash-completion but with same result - see output below.
I do not exactly recall which option I chose from the combo-box, however I did not fiddle
around with diffs of any kind.... I chose a new configuration.. but not maintainers version...
AFAIR.
