Upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 After making the connection, laptop hangs before downloading. Screen locks up, must hard resent.

Worked well on a laptop with ubuntu only partition running server edition. Hung on a similar laptop running desktop software in a dual grub Vista/Ubuntu laptop. No error codes given.Tried multiple times.
