Intel 2200 not detected after upgrading from Linux 2.6.24-12 to 2.6.24-13

Bug Description
Update manager installed new Linux kernel, then the wi-fi stopped working. The wifi has also stopped in previous kernel updates in Hardy Heron.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Use update manager to install a new linux kernel on a laptop with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
2. Restart linux
3. Click on wireless network connection icon
4. Open Terminal
5. Type dmesg | grep 2200
Actual results
1. No hotspots listed
2. ipw2200-bss.fw request_firmware failed: Reason -2
Expected Results
1. Error-free operation of wifi after any update via update manager.
