gnome-terminal fails to redraw irssi correctly

This bug is highly reproducible on my system. I originally discovered it when
shelling via gnome-terminal to a remote server and running irssi in screen.
Within a few minutes irssi shows up as a blank black or blue screen. I tried
running it without screen, same issue. Finally tried it locally and had the same
issue.

Steps to reproduce:

1.) Open gnome-terminal
2.) Run irssi
3.) Do an action (click a link, switch tabs, chat in a channel)
4.) Terminal "blanks" out and you must ctrl+l to fix it.

Other Details:

Running Breezy developement branch with gnome-terminal 2.11.3. irssi 0.8.10-rc5
(20041018 1440) on Breezy and irssi 0.8.9 (20031210 2316) on my remote system.

This shows the issue I am having. Didn't know if "blanking out" is descriptive
enough but I can't think of another way to describe it.

Reproduced bug with pork. Curses issue perhaps?

Breezy upgraded to gnome-terminal 2.12.0 and the bug doesn't appear anymore.
Seems to have been fixed.

Oops. It is less easy to reproduce now but it still happens. Sorry for spamming
this bug report. It still happens but with less frequency.
