Bug Description

Hey guys,
i know this has been reported but wanted to point out that gcursor does not work in Ubuntu Hardy as of yet.
It is not possible, yet , to change the cursor themes in Hardy and generally gcursor is the safest way.
thanks

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" [WWW] http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at [WWW] http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Hey guys,
well as interesting as the "how to report bugs" is as reading m atter there are times that an application just doesnt work and very little readout from the terminal is avaiable.
however, gcursor does not work in hardy and this is all of the readout from the terminal...

(gcursor:28411): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'extract_theme'.

(gcursor:28411): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'open_theme_dir'.

(gcursor:28411): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'entry_selected'.

(gcursor:28411): libglade-WARNING **: could not find signal handler 'size_changed'.

This has been consistent from alpha series till to day April 29,2008.

I have a clean install of hardy and nothing has changed for several things ...gcursor is one of them... i wo uld suggest that if this is working on your systems then you must have done something different than every other user got get it to work.
