Loss of whitespace in text entry

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When entering posts into the University of Phoenix forum all white space is removed. If I enter a paragraph separation:

Like this when I finally submit the post I get something that reads as though I never hit the enter key. This makes for very poor text flow (difficult to read) and makes you look like an idiot. This is not an issue in FF2. I'm running the FFB4 under Ubuntu 8.04 BETA.

I tried this again in Beta 5 and it still seems to work exactly the same way.

I've tried this in RC1 on my windows computer at work and this problem appears to have been resolved. Once there is an RC1 update through the repository I'll test that. Maybe then I can finally uninstall seamonkey! :)

You should have told us you tested this on Windows pc and it was
happening so we could have pushed this upstream and had an answer alot
faster, Hardy will have RC1 in a day or 2 maybe at tops the end of week.
RC1 is in QA and awaiting archive admins to push it.

Apologize. I've added the PPA repository and installed that version of FF3RC1 and this issue seems to be fixed. Guess it was an upstream problem. Sorry I didn't mention it that way sooner.

Thanks for the update. RC1 should be in Ubuntu shortly as it has been
pushed into intrepid but we need to push a few depends before it will be
released
