Bug Description

Binary package hint: amule

package: amule 2.2.0~svn20080218-0ubuntu1

distro: Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04

amule in default configuration have konqueror as system browser, that it isn't installed in any ubuntu and has not many sense to install it on a ubuntu.

it's not possible to package amule with firefox by default? there are more ubuntu user than kubuntu user and some on kubuntu use firefox...

i think that it's good to put firefox as system browser by default...

i know that it's not a big amount of work change a menu, but i think that for a newbie's experience things like this matters...

We should use x-www-browser or xdg-open instead, so that it's opened with the
default browser.

I've looked into this, but I've realized that patching it would mean adding a new string, which doesn't look like a very good idea, specially since for this to be useful, it should be chosen by default. I'm going to open a request upstream to support xdg-open by default on systems which support it.

I tried to make a patch but I have not succeeded.

Despite making changes to the source, would also be necessary to update all translations which could cause problems because the order of browsers changing.

I will try to resolve this in the upstream
