Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I'm using Hardy, with gpm version 2.22.0-0ubuntu2
I have an HP laptop dv6627el.
I've selected the option "dim display when idle".
after some seconds of inactivity the screen becomes darker at 30%. If I move the mouse it should become more bright, but it becomes even darker (0%). when plugging in the AC, it stays at 0%.
I have to manually set the brightness with the brightness applet (this works).
I've collected some debugging output that I attach.
