Samsung YP-U2 is not recognized as music-player

Bug Description

After an update (about 20th March), when plugged in, the Samsung YP-U2 wasn't recognized as a music-player anymore, but only as a mass storage device. Everything works still perfectly, excepting that one is not able to edit the media on the player in Rhythmbox/Amarok. It's actual not a big deal for me, but I believe many people use this feature.

I'm using a daily updated Hardy Heron.

Hello, thank You for answering. I tried the steps described in the link above, but in seems like the gnome-volume-manager doesn't even exist on my system(the package is installed). Instead I used gnome-volume-manager-gthumb and I got this error:

libhal.c 1310 : invalid udi: -n doesn't startwith '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/'.
error: libhal_device_get_property_type: (null): (null)

However, no gnome-volume-manager(-gthumb) process is running. Shall I go on with the rest?

OK, after all there was a gnome-volume-manager process running, but it was located in /usr/lib/gnome-volume-manager/ folder. So I started it with the whole path and completed the bug report. I hope this helps. If U need more, just tell me.

I wanted to add, that a second player I tried wasn't recognized as audio device too. So it might be a more general problem.
