emesene not logging

Binary package hint: emesene

After enabling "LoggerPlugin" within emesene, it appears that emesene isn't logging at all and leaves the directory "~/.config/emesene1.0/hotmailaddrs_com/logs" empty.

LoggerPlugin is enabled and no errors reported while running it in debug/console mode.

Do you have ~/.config/emesene1.0/you_mail_address/cache/your_mail_address.db ?

that file is a sqlite database where Logger stores the logs. You can view them
with LogViewer.

The db exists.
But when I click on "View conversation log" there is no text in the
log.

The db file is written to every time I message somebody.

I cant find the log files either

Why couldnt the logs just be multiple xml files, as in Messenger? Its very simple to find em and read em......:S

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 or 9.04?

I'm using a clean installation of Ubuntu 8.10 with emesene-1.0.1.tar.gz downloaded from sourceforge.
The ~/.config/emesene1.0/__email_here__/logs directory is empty.

I had this problem on Ubuntu Studio 8.04, but after updating Emesene to version 1.0.1 logging is working just fine. There's a repository, quite useful to keep Emesene updated: deb http://apt.emesene.org/ ./

After reading the comment from Franco, I have tried to installed v1.0.1 from apt.emesene.org. It still failed on Ubuntu 8.0.4. Anyway, thank you for your suggestion.
