Hopefully this helps.

Ubuntu 8.04 (development branch).

Linux version 2.6.24-12-generic (buildd@palmer) (gcc version 4.2.3 (Ubuntu 4.2.3-2ubuntu4))

Samba version 3.0.28a-1ubuntu1

I excepted the samba gui configuration to open up, instead I just get a crash report.
