This also occurs in Intrepid. It seems to be triggered when dragging into a custom menu (added via "Add Menu" button).

OK, I've done a little more investigation to see how the crash is triggered.

1) Create a new menu.
2) Drag a shortcut from the desktop into the new menu.

Crash!

But...
1) Create a new folder.
2) Drag a shortcut from the desktop to a previously existing menu.
3) Drag the shortcut from the existing menu to the new menu.

No crash!

I submitted a patch to the bug tracker upstream. Should I create a debdiff for quick inclusion in Ubuntu? I'm not an Ubuntu or MOTU developer, so I'll probably need a sponsor to get this into Ubuntu (or we can wait for the next Gnome version:).

Cheers,
Sanne
