Reload progress window eats cpu

Bug Description

Clicking reload in the main window fires the progress window for that action, and it eats cpu :).

Which version of ubuntu? Which version of Synaptic?
Does it come back eventually, or does it hang forever?

Oh sorry, ugly bug report. I was talking about hardy, latest synaptic (0.61ubuntu7).

It doesn't hang, it runs as normal but the cpu jumps to full power.

What do you expect? Reloading includes rebuilding the package cache, which requires some cpu power. How long does it take?
