Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3 beta 4 shows no bookmarks or home page. Firefox 2 shows bookmars and home page when using the same settings folder (.mozilla).

The following error is in the ”Error Console” after startup:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8007000e (NS_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY) [nsIDocShellHistory.useGlobalHistory]" nsresult: "0x8007000e (NS_ERROR_OUT_OF_MEMORY)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://browser/content/browser.js :: prepareForStartup :: line 727" data: no]

More error adds to the above if Firefox is used after startup.

The Firefox 3 is generally very slow under Hardy compared the the Windows version of beta 4.

Regards, Dan

I got around the problem by deleting the old .mozilla folder (mounted to a NAS) that was used by a Swedish version of Firefox 2. I could then import the old bookmarks without problems.
