Evolution is included by default in Ubuntu MATE.

If the update is malfunctioning, the Evolution app (mail/contacts/calendar suite) may stop working. The Thunderbird app may be used alternatively.

This depends on evolution-data-server 3.52.3 so that version ought to reach noble-updates before we let evolution 3.52.3 in to noble-updates

Given that one of the bugs fixed in this upload is “an entire suite of functionality is missing”, I think we might need a more thorough test plan than “Open evolution and send/receive an email”.

We should probably, at least, be testing each of the major components of the suite? Mail, contacts, calendar?

I'm not going to demand anything particularly complex or exhaustive for each (should we be testing gmail accounts, LDAP, etc?), but I think we should at least be smoke testing each component.

Also, the `execute_after_dh_install-arch:` target has weird (but I don't think problematic?) indentation.

I've added test plans for the <Mail, Calendar, Contacts> suite using a Google account, and a test plan for RSS Feed (the same test plan specified in the bug-report that this upload fixes)

Accepted evolution into noble-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/3.52.3-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-noble to verification-done-noble. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-noble. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.
