installer restarts X on Kubuntu Hardy after selecting keyboard

I've booted correctly the live cd of kde 4.0, then I've started the installation. Both kde 4.0 and the installer were in English, even when I selected brazillian portuguese from the menu on the cd. I've continued installing until I got to the stage where you select the keyboard layout just fine. Although when I've clicked continue, kde restarted from beginning, as if X crashed at that stage. I've tried again with no luck twice, then I started ubiquity winthout the parameter kde_ui from the terminal. That seemed to solve it, so it must be a problem with kde ui only.

I had the same problem, but that occurs only when using the Portuguese language world, because when using the English language the installation is normal

Eu tive o mesmo problema, mas isso ocorre apenas quando se usa o idioma português brasil, pois quando se usa o idioma inglês a instalação é normal

I can confirm this issue here also for Ubuntu (Gnome)

I here only to confirm. I had this same problem with Ubuntu Hardy Heron Beta's DVD. Because it, I had to install using the text mode because it.
I've chosen Brazilian Portuguese just in the beginning and started in liveCD mode. Once in LiveCD desktop, I've started the installation and the X always crashed when I chose the keyboard (any layout or language) every time.
I also realize that when I choose the "Install in harddisk" option in the boot menu same problem occurred.

Só para confirmar eu tive o mesmo problema já relatado com o DVD do Ubuntu Hardy Heron Beta. Por conta disso eu tive que instalar em modo texto.
Eu escolhi o idioma português Brasil logo o início da instalação e iniciei o sistema em modo LiveCD. Uma vez no desktop eu iniciava a instalação e toda vez que escolhia o teclado (qualquer layout ou idioma) o X quebrava e reiniciava.
Eu também percebi que o mesmo problema ocorria quando escolhia a opção Instalar no disco rígido.
