Bug Description

This is probably duplicate to
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-desktop-provision/+bug/2053120

however a PROBLEM detected screen appears on this machine first...

Networking is not available; so I can't apport-collect, and I had no ability to `ubuntu-bug` on the machine (which is why its filed online).

Current daily booted on

- hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 8gb, amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)

Of NOTE...

Leó Kolbeinsson reports he was able to install after his bug report (what I marked as probable duplicate) HOWEVER

on attempting to start an install, I get asked three questions then the ubuntu-desktop-installer just reports problem detected & quits...

I cannot install.

Thank you for your bug report Could you add the logs from/var/log/installer after getting the problem or use 'sudo ubuntu-bug ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap' to report the issue (which would automatically include the needed informations)?

Attempted re-install on another box (uEFI this time)
- sony vaio ultrabook svp11216cgb (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)

This [sony] box did NOT experience this issue at all.

@seb128... I'll repeat install on dc7700 when I can...
Networking was not functional (see OP) which is why ubuntu-bug wasn't used (it was attempted)

(install completed; reboot & it appears perfect on this box)

PROBLEM DID NOT RE-OCCUR when re-tried with identical settings.

Attempted re-install on

- hp dc7700 (c2d-e6320, 8gb, amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)

using same thumb-drive, same network settings etc..

This time on boot the network was detected & available, PLUS no errors on the try-install-bootloader...

install I would have done before this time completed successfully, reboot, login & all good....

experienced this issue again... TWICE on two boots...

I don't see this as a concern yet, as I need to rule out the hardware as being an issue.. some more Lubuntu & other testing I suspect... The system is acting WEIRD when booting Ubuntu Desktop (oracular) ???

(My testing is almost nil thus far this cycle, as lacking time, so can't rule out box issues sorry)

QA Test: Crash during install of entire disk, used virtual box for install. Daily image 20240822. Will re-test same image. The installer crashed at the first portion of the install.
