Bug Description

Installing Xubuntu Oracular daily ISo dated 23-06-2024

The installer finishes with report "system program problem detected" but appears to have installed system.However rebooting after the failure the system starts again with the message #system program problem detected after logging in to desktop.

Hi and thanks for your report. It looks like the installer crashed during the last stages of the install trying try to do an apt update but the mirror was in the middle of a sync:

 Jun 23 14:14:43 xubuntu subiquity_log.3508[16497]: E: Failed to fetch http://is.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/oracular/main/i18n/Translation-en File has unexpected size (512584 != 512532). Mirror sync in progress? [IP: 176.57.227.242 443]

You should be able to try again with better results. If not, try an offline install too. If that works then we can investigate if there's issues with the mirror syncing correctly.
